Under specific conditions, companies – such as life offices, asset managers, consultants, administrators, employee-benefits operators, stockbrokers, private-equity firms and other service providers to retirement funds – have the opportunity to earn B-BBEE scorecard points by their spend towards retirement fund trustee and member education. The points are earned while partnering with the most prominent and independent trustee publication in the country.
The points can be claimed under the FSC’s Consumer Financial Education (CFE) element. Spend on CFE, which includes financial education for retirement-fund members and trustees, is an FSC requirement.
